TRAINING COURSE OBJECTIVE
This one-day course offers basic level training for jewellery technologists and costume jewellery and fashion accessories buyers who wish to understand new and current EU and USA product legislation and testing requirements BEFORE supplying products for sale to consumers. The course provides an invaluable overview of the current market for precious and non precious metals and accessories before focusing on Nickel, Lead and Cadmium, including why each metal is harmful and current testing regulations.
The course also covers the range of testing available, how to request tests and how to complete specific test forms. Delegates will have the chance to examine and test sample products as part of the course. This course is delivered by industry experts sharing invaluable knowledge and experience from the UKAS accredited Laboratory at AnchorCert Group. The course provides 7 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activity.

Introduction to EU and USA Product Regulations applicable to the costume jewellery and fashion accessories industries. REACH, ROHS and introduction to RAPEX rapid alert system.
